The Government of Kiribati (GOK) has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the South Tarawa Sanitation Project (STSP) - P176108 and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
On behalf of the STSP, KFSU now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services for the following position:
1. 1x full time STSP Office Assistant
The Consultant will be based at the STSP Project Management Unit (PMU) in Kiribati. The initial duration of the consulting assignment is full time for two years with a possible extension subject to performance appraisal.
Qualification, Skills and Experience Requirement
The consultant shall have the following experience and qualifications:
- Relevant qualification (High School Graduate or Certificate or Diploma in Administration from a recognized local institution such as KIT with relevant work.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English and Kiribati
- Competency in the use of computer applications, especially MS Office and experience operating in a virtual office i.e., use of email and various meeting platforms (Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Team Meeting)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team and without supervision.
Willingness to run errands around Tarawa for Project-related matters.

Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services by submission of a Cover Letter or Expression of Interest (EOI), curriculum vitae with description of experience in similar assignments, similar conditions, etc. and with supporting documents.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Fifth Edition September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. The deadline for submission of EOIs is 11th April 2025.
